Want to know more about the heartbeat of Jubilee?
We will be a people who are real, not pretenders. We are an extreme people – extreme in our faith, extreme in our commitment, extreme in our witness and extreme in our worship. We are a church that is fresh. Our energy and excitement will be contagious!
We are a people who know who we are in Christ. We are a people of the Word – we know the Word, we speak the Word, we walk in the Word. We walk with an air of victory because we know the devil has already been defeated. We dare to believe that everything is possible for us. We are over comers, a determined people who refuse to settle for defeat or less than our inheritance in Christ. We use our faith to see our neighbors, relatives and co-workers saved. We are convinced that the devil has lost his hold over them. We will be an aggressive people who help possess this city for Jesus. We will demonstrate his victory in every area of our lives.
We are a people of character. We are submitted to the character-building work of the Holy Spirit. We make no excuses for bad habits or character flaws. We allow him to prune us and make us more like Jesus. We are a people who speak and act truthfully. Our word can be counted on. We would sooner suffer loss than sacrifice our integrity or compromise our morals. We will represent Jesus well in the church and in the world. In everything we do we seek to honor the Lord.
We are a people who live by a higher standard. We have learned who we are in Christ and walk with our heads held high. Our personal, professional and ministry lives will reflect the excellence of the kingdom of God. In every way we conduct ourselves in a manner fitting people who represent the Lord Jesus Christ. We are a people who do not accept shoddy workmanship or a job half-done. The things we’re involved in will be done right. We place a demand on ourselves and on those around us for excellence. Our ministry style and facilities demonstrate that spirit of excellence. We will utilize the latest in technology and the best tools available. Our buildings and grounds will reflect our relentless pursuit of perfection!
Our vision is to be a people who understand that every believer has been called into the ministry. We will see ourselves as shepherds, sent by God to impact those around us. We shall be bold witnesses for Jesus, infiltrating society. We expect to encounter people on the job, in the neighborhood, in the mall, every place we go, who need ministry. And we will be equipped to give it to them. We expect to see people saved. We expect to lay hands on the sick and cast out demons. Ministry is not the job of the pastor; it is the job of the believer!
We will be a people who understand our desperate need for God’s hand to be upon us to reach our city. Apart from him, we can do nothing. We do not expect to meet the needs of people because we look right, talk right or do the right things. It can only happen by the empowering of the Holy Spirit. We understand that this will only come to the degree we fervently seek the Lord in prayer. We are hungry for a move of God and will take the time to intensely seek the Lord for it.
We are a multi-cultural church that demonstrates unity, a sense of family, and commitment to each other. This is a place where everyone feels accepted and can find love, help, hope and forgiveness. This is a church that breaks all racial, social and economic barriers to worship, fellowship and grow in harmony. People of all backgrounds, rich and poor alike, will call Jubilee home.
We are a people who will take seriously the responsibility to model godly relationships, Biblical marriages and raise our children according to the Word of God. Husbands and wives shall be committed to each other and are committed to the life-long pursuit of strengthening their relationship. Parents will demonstrate their love for their children by teaching them the Word of God, modeling the Christian life and providing them structure and discipline.
We do not accept the premise that church happens within the four walls of a building. We have been sent by God to impact our city — out where the people are. We are compelled by compassion to see lives changed, families transformed and communities impacted by the power of God! Jesus came for one purpose: to seek and to save which was lost (Luke 19:10).
The church was established with one mission: Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation (Mark 16:15). As such, the church is a vehicle for accomplishing God’s plan – to get the gospel out. Outreach will forever remain the central focus and thrust of Jubilee. It is our core belief that apart from reaching the lost, no church has a legitimate reason to exist.
We are a church with a heart for missions and a vision for the world. Our people carry that vision. As a result, we give generously to the cause of world evangelism. We partner with those who have been sent to the nations. We expect people will be raised up from within our church to respond to the call to missions. We have caught the missionary spirit.
We are a people who have been called to impact our city. We are here not to huddle together to find refuge from society, but to change society. We are an invasion force! We will impact this city through prayer and outreach but also through involvement. Our members will sit on city council, town boards, school boards, boards of corporations and hold political office. We will be in places of influence. This city will be changed because we are here!
This means that everything we do will be derived directly from our purposes. Jubilee will not be a ministry that attempts to appease anyone’s traditions or pet sacred cows. We are not interested in how anyone else does church. Everything we do will be in answer to the question, what is the best way to accomplish our purpose? This means thinking “outside of the box”. It will cause us to be innovative and creative in our approach to ministry. We will do things that may never have been done before or done in the way in which we do them. Conformity is not our goal; it is results that we seek. Everything we do will demonstrate our determination to reach people in love, develop them in truth, empower them for life, and prepare them for service.
Our vision is to be a people who experience the presence of the Holy Spirit in a powerful way when we assemble together for corporate worship. The glory of God will be manifest. The gifts of the Spirit will in operation. Unbelievers will sense the presence of God, his acceptance and the convicting power of his holiness.
We believe, as we gather together, the Holy Spirit will confirm the Word that we boldly declare, demonstrating the victory of the Cross and the defeat of the devil. This will be demonstrated through the supernatural meeting of people’s needs. The sick shall be healed, bondages broken, captives freed, and God’s people refreshed. People will be drawn from all over to this place because of his presence.
We shall be good stewards of the resources that have been entrusted to us, both in our individual lives and as a ministry. We are givers. As a result, we shall be financially blessed – experiencing unusual opportunity and provision. This ministry shall be debt free. Money will never be a problem here. The ministry of Jubilee shall be well-funded through multiple avenues of financial resource.
We believe good stewardship requires financial integrity, transparency and accountability. As a result: Church legal and financial affairs are governed by its Board of Directors. Annual financial statements are provided to church members. The salaries of the senior pastors are set by an outside, independent compensation committee. The salaries of the senior pastors are fully disclosed on the financial statements made available to church members.
